Devel­op­men­tal Edu­ca­tion is the gate­way to col­lege success.

  • Devel­op­men­tal Edu­ca­tion pro­vides under­pre­pared stu­dents with the same oppor­tu­nity for suc­cess in gate­way courses as “col­lege ready” students.

Devel­op­men­tal Edu­ca­tion does make a difference.

  • Devel­op­men­tal Edu­ca­tion helps ensure equity in higher edu­ca­tion, espe­cially for first-generation col­lege stu­dents, under­rep­re­sented and under­served stu­dent pop­u­la­tions, and non­tra­di­tional students.

Devel­op­men­tal stu­dents learn nec­es­sary non-cognitive skills for future success.

  • Devel­op­men­tal Edu­ca­tion strength­ens soft skills such as respon­si­bil­ity, time man­age­ment, inter­de­pen­dence, dis­ci­pline, and pro­fes­sional conduct.
