  • The Col­lege and Career Ready Grad­u­ate Align­ment Part­ner­ship Infor­ma­tion Ses­sion held April 3rd at Wayne CC was recorded. The ses­sion can be viewed here:

  • Meet­ing hand­outs avail­able here.
  • The EdReady math course is avail­able for explo­ration. To access the course, please fol­low the direc­tions here..
  • A bare bones ver­sion of the NROC Eng­lish course is also avail­able. Please note that this is still a work in progress. To access the Eng­lish course, fol­low the direc­tions here.
  • If your col­lege or high school is inter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing in Phase II, please con­tact Susan Bar­bi­tta ( or Laura Kalbaugh ( A small amount of fund­ing is avail­able for up to ten col­lege part­ner­ships. In order to qual­ify for poten­tial fund­ing, you must indi­cate inter­est by April 26th.


CCRG Update (pro­vided by Susan Bar­bi­tta, 11.18.16):

  • Seven college/high school part­ner­ships are under­way for the 2016/17 school year
  • A min­i­mum of an addi­tional 12 part­ner­ships are planned for Phase II
    • GEAR UP (Gain­ing Early Aware­ness and Readi­ness for Under­grad­u­ate Pro­grams) will pro­vide fund­ing to their high school / com­mu­nity col­lege partnerships.
    • There is a small amount of fund­ing avail­able for other Phase II partnerships
  • A state-wide math course has been cre­ated for use
    • Con­tent complete
    • Await­ing ‘deliv­ery’ of the course from NROC
    • Will be sent to the com­mit­tee for review
    • Use of this course is optional
  • Work has begun on a state-wide Eng­lish course
    • Con­tent nearly complete
    • Will be avail­able in the Vir­tual Learn­ing Com­mu­nity (VLC) Spring 2017
    • Upon com­ple­tion will be sent to the com­mit­tee for reivew
    • Use of this course is optional
  • Pro­fes­sional Development
    • Our project lead, Laura Kalbaugh, will be sched­ul­ing three regional PD meet­ings this spring
      • Our exist­ing part­ner­ships will share their mod­els and imple­men­ta­tion details
    • The CCRGAP PD sub-committee will con­vene Jan/Feb


Col­lege Admin­is­tra­tors were asked to send nom­i­na­tions for mem­bers of the Col­lege and Career Ready Lead­er­ship Team to the NCCCS in late Novem­ber, and rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Math, Reading/English, and stake­holder orga­ni­za­tions were selected.

The team held a con­fer­ence call meet­ing on Decem­ber 9, 2015. This was a pre­lim­i­nary meet­ing, includ­ing intro­duc­tions of the com­mit­tee mem­bers and a dis­cus­sion of the time­line for the work of the committee.

On Feb­ru­ary 10, 2016, an email was sent to team mem­bers with infor­ma­tion about items of con­sid­er­a­tion. See attached update below for points of discussion.

On March 18, 2016, a report was pre­sented to the North Car­olina Com­mu­nity Col­lege Board (pages 79–83 of the pdf of the report below).
